Treatments
General and preventive dentistry
Most of what we do is this, and it is what prevents the rest. A yearly check-up and hygiene on time cost less than a root canal, and a great deal less than an implant.

At a check-up we look at teeth, gums and the joint, and take an x-ray when there is a reason, not out of routine. We show you what we can see on screen and tell you what is urgent, what can wait and what is worth watching without touching.
Professional hygiene removes the calculus a brush can no longer reach, particularly below the gum margin. If you bleed when brushing, that is not normal and it usually resolves with a clean and a change of technique. Left alone, that same gum is what lets the tooth go ten years later.
Where there is decay we fill with tooth-coloured composite. Where the decay has reached the nerve we do root canal treatment to keep the tooth, because a well-treated natural tooth still beats any substitute.
